Esin Güven – Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Esin Güven is an executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience. Throughout her professional career, she has held leadership roles in German companies in the fields of construction, certification, education, and sales. In 2024, she co-founded Getonport, a company operating in growth, renewable energy, and technology sectors.
She began her career at Weidleplan Consulting GmbH, contributing to the project management of the Türkiye İş Bank Headquarters Complex (225,000 m², USD 139M). Later, at RED Real Estate Development GmbH, she served as Project Manager for the Bayer Türk Headquarters (12,000 m², USD 7M), coordinating the entire process from design to final acceptance of construction.
Subsequently, she established and managed the Product Certification Department of TÜV SÜD Turkey. Her responsibilities included team building and management, marketing of technical services, certification processes, coordination with the German headquarters, and supporting SMEs in adapting to EU regulations and entering international markets in cooperation with KOSGEB (a public instution to support SMEs).
In 2007, following the birth of her son, she decided to take a carrer break and shifted her career focus to education, teaching German as a foreign language in kindergartens and primary schools. In 2013, she co-founded her first entrepreneurial venture, a private school in Istanbul with 18 classrooms, where she played an active role as founding and managing partner in all phases, including construction management, permitting, and student acquisition.
Her second entrepreneurial initiative was the brand The Cheesecake Engineer, through which she introduced 25 unique gastronomic cheesecake recipes to both corporate restaurants and individual customers.
Most recently, she worked as a Sales Professional at Switzerland-based Kika Schweiz GmbH, where she managed B2B international sales and customer relationship management for her client portfolio.
Esin graduated with distinction from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Civil Engineering Department in 1999. She is married and the mother of two children (an 18-year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter). She is native in German and speaks fluently English.
Her friendship with her husband, Tuna Güven, began during their university years and grew into a lifelong partnership, continuing today as both life and business partners. Passionate about traveling and exploring new cultures, Esin’s curiosity to discover and learn about the world together with her family adds inspiration and richness to both her personal and professional life.
